Refund policy

Due to the nature of our small business, please thoroughly read this policy before purchasing. Thank you for shopping with The Chain Designs.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines our procedures for refunds and returns. We strive to provide high-quality products, services and excellent customer service. If you're not entirely happy with your order, we're here to help.

• Items purchased on sale are only available to return for matched store credit or exchange
• Full price items are eligible for a refund or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order.
• We do not cover return costs. We suggest posting back your items to us via a tracked and insured service.
• Items must be returned in their original condition, unused, and with all original packaging and tags and any free gifts included.
• For hygiene reasons, jewellery and tights are non-refundable.
• Final sale or sample sale items are not eligible for a refund or exchange.
• Customised items are not eligible for a refund or exchange.
• Items purchased with a discount code are only available for exchange or matched store credit.
• A valid proof of purchase (order number, receipt) is required for all returns. Please contact us at hello@thechaindesigns.co.uk for the return address.
• If item is damaged upon arrival please see the damaged item section.

Reporting damage:

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at hello@thechaindesigns.co.uk with photos of the damage.

Please report the damage within 7 days of receiving the item. Email us immediately so we can come to a resolution.

Initiating a return:

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at hello@thechaindesigns.co.uk stating your order number, name and reason for return.

Packaging and shipping:

Please securely package the item in its original packaging (if possible) and include a note inside your parcel with your name, order number, desired exchange or return.

You are responsible for the return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (damaged or defective item).

We recommend using a trackable shipping method and insuring the package, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.

Processing time:

• Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
• If approved, your refund will be processed and credited to your original method of payment within 10 business days.

Refund amount:

• Refunds will be issued for the purchase price of the item, excluding original shipping costs.
• Payment method:
• Refunds will be given back to the original payment method used.

Cancellations:

Orders can be cancelled before they are shipped. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. To cancel an order, please contact us immediately at hello@thechaindesigns.co.uk

International Order Policy:

All the above applies to international orders, except exchanges are not applicable for orders outside of the UK. If you wish to change your order, we request you send your item back for a refund, and purchase the desired item as a new order.

The Chain is not responsible for reposting fees. If posting back to us from outside of the UK please ensure to mark your item as 'Returned goods' and fully tracked to ensure its safe arrival to our studio.

For international returns (excluding USA): duties/taxes paid to your local customs authority are non-refundable. You will receive a refund for the product cost only.

For USA returns: since duties/taxes are prepaid by us via DDP, these costs are also non-refundable. Refunds will cover the product cost only, minus the pre-paid duty.
